We are recruiting a Wind Turbine Operations & Maintenance Technician for a permanent role supporting onshore wind projects across the UK. The role involves travel depending on operational requirements.
Role Overview
As a Wind Turbine O&M Technician, you will deliver planned and reactive maintenance activities across operational wind assets. You will provide hands-on fault finding and technical support across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, working closely with site teams and subcontractors.
This role is suited to an experienced technician looking to further develop technical capability while contributing to safe, high-quality maintenance delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Planned and reactive wind turbine maintenance
Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis
Supporting technical improvements and issue resolution
Preparing and reviewing RAMS and site documentation
Working collaboratively with site teams and subcontractors
Supporting large component exchange activities
Maintaining high standards of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance
Technical Skills and Experience
Essential
Wind turbine operations and maintenance experience
Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
Experience working at height and in safety-critical environments
Willingness to travel within the UK
Desirable
Experience on OEM turbine platforms (e.g. Vestas)
Large component exchange or main component replacement
Condition monitoring and diagnostic techniques
Blade inspection or repair experience
Qualifications
Mechanical or Electrical qualification (minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent)
Valid WTSR and strong Health & Safety awareness
