3R Global Talent is recruiting an experienced AI Infrastructure Architect for an opportunity focused on building the platforms and infrastructure that bring AI and machine learning into production.
This is a hands-on architecture position combining infrastructure design with engineering across demanding AI and machine learning environments.
Role Overview
You will design and develop the infrastructure used to train, deploy and operate AI and machine learning workloads across cloud and on-premise environments.
Working across GPU computing, distributed systems, automation and production deployment, you will help create platforms that perform reliably at scale while making effective use of compute resources.
The position would suit an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys combining architecture with hands-on engineering and solving complex technical problems.
Key Areas of the Role
- Design scalable infrastructure for AI training and production inference
- Build and optimise GPU infrastructure and distributed computing environments
- Write, review and troubleshoot scripts and infrastructure-as-code
- Improve compute performance, resource utilisation and cost efficiency
- Develop deployment workflows and data pipelines for machine learning systems
- Integrate container orchestration, CI/CD and model-serving capabilities
- Monitor platform health and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
- Provide technical direction and document architecture approaches
- Contribute technical knowledge and help develop engineering capability
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Strong infrastructure engineering experience covering technical design or architecture
- Hands-on experience with AI or machine learning workloads
- Knowledge of cloud or on-premise compute, networking and storage
- Knowledge of GPU computing and distributed systems
- Experience with containers, orchestration and infrastructure automation
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD and production deployment processes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain complex technical approaches clearly to different audiences
Desirable
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Knowledge of MLOps, model serving and AI monitoring
- Experience with distributed training and workload optimisation
- Experience creating reusable infrastructure patterns and engineering standards
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Experience working with production-scale AI or machine learning platforms
